Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum of 1 year current experience in Interventional Radiology or related imaging
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Proficient in the use and interpretation of imaging modalities used in Interventional Radiology procedures
  • Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate care with physicians, technologists, and support staff
  • Ability to manage and respond to changing clinical situations
  • Experience in conscious sedation, patient monitoring, and emergency response preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures, providing skilled nursing care before, during, and after interventions
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
  • Monitor vital signs and maintain detailed, accurate documentation throughout each procedure
  • Safeguard sterile technique and infection control in all areas of practice
  • Administer medications, including moderate sedation, and observe for any adverse reactions
  • Educate patients and families about procedures, expected outcomes, and post-procedure care
  • Respond promptly to any emergency situations as part of the clinical team
