Interventional Radiologic Technologist in Alexandria, VA

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current certification or licensure as an Interventional Radiology Technologist (ARRT or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience performing IR procedures in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Comprehensive understanding of sterile techniques, radiation safety, and patient care within interventional procedures.
• Proficient with IR imaging equipment and technology.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and respond effectively in urgent situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and operate interventional radiology equipment for procedures under the supervision of physicians.
• Assist with angiographic, fluoroscopic, and image-guided intervention procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging logs, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Assist in room and equipment setup, and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and facility policies.
• Participate in ongoing quality assurance and process improvement activities.
