Interventional Radiologic Technologist in Bessemer, AL

Key Qualifications:

• Certification and experience as an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist
• Demonstrated competence operating imaging equipment, such as fluoroscopy and ultrasound in an IR setting
• Solid understanding of sterile procedures and best radiological safety practices
• Ability to assist physicians with vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Current credentials and BLS certification

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients and examination rooms for interventional procedures
• Operate imaging equipment, capturing high-quality diagnostic images
• Closely assist radiologists and physicians during invasive procedures
• Maintain sterile fields and ensure all protocols for infection prevention are followed
• Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety and comfort
• Troubleshoot and maintain technical equipment as needed
