Interventional Radiologic Technologist (IR) - Bridgeport, Connecticut

Key Qualifications:

• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with advanced certification in Interventional Radiography preferred
• Active and unrestricted state licensure
• Minimum of one year of recent IR Tech experience in a hospital or high-volume clinical setting
• Strong knowledge of vascular, neurovascular, and other interventional radiology procedures
• Proficient in using digital imaging equipment, contrast media, and sterile techniques
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Outstanding attention to detail, patient safety focus, and communication skills

Schedule:

• Contract position with full-time hours; specific shift details provided during interview process

Role Responsibilities:

• Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring adherence to safety and comfort standards
• Collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and fellow technologists to facilitate smooth workflow
• Operate and maintain a variety of imaging equipment (fluoroscopy units, CT, ultrasound) during procedures
• Monitor patient vital signs and document procedural information with accuracy
• Maintain strict compliance with infection control and radiology safety guidelines
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the procedure process
