An opportunity is available for a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to support complex, minimally invasive, image-guided procedures in both radiology and operating room environments. This position calls for a detail-oriented professional adept in running advanced imaging equipment, maintaining sterile technique, and circulating cases to ensure the safety and efficiency of each intervention.
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position; details regarding duration and shift structure will be provided during the interview process.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Certification as an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist.
- Experience in both diagnostic and interventional procedures such as angiography, venous access, embolization, venography, myelography, abdominal interventions, paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsy, TIPS, and dialysis access or fistula maintenance.
- Knowledge or background in neuro, cardiac, or vascular surgery settings.
- Familiarity with Y90/SIRT (Selective Internal Radiation Therapy) procedures is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot all relevant imaging equipment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a procedural team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage imaging equipment for IR procedures.
- Prepare procedural environments and maintain strict sterile technique.
- Function as a scrub technologist and circulate cases in both IR suites and the OR as required.
- Support physicians by anticipating procedural needs and patient care requirements.
- Accurately document procedures and equipment usage according to established protocols.
- Prioritize patient safety and comfort throughout each stage of the procedure.
- Remain up-to-date on best practices and innovations within IR technology.
