Interventional Radiologic Technologist in Cambridge, MA

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current certification as an Interventional Radiology Technologist (ARRT preferred)
• Minimum of 1 year experience in an IR Tech role within a hospital or similar healthcare environment
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining interventional imaging equipment
• Up-to-date BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Strong understanding of sterile techniques and patient safety protocols
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient interaction and multidisciplinary collaboration

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare and operate IR imaging equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in accordance with physician directions
• Assist radiologists and physicians throughout interventional procedures, ensuring accurate imaging and optimal patient care
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures, responding to any issues and maintaining detailed documentation
• Maintain strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols
• Safeguard patient privacy and uphold highest ethical standards in handling sensitive information
• Calibrate, clean, and troubleshoot equipment, reporting any maintenance needs promptly
• Support the training of new staff and provide technical guidance as necessary
