Key Qualifications:

  • Certified Radiologic Technologist with IR Tech specialization
  • Current ARRT certification (or equivalent national credential)
  • Valid state license as required for Technologists
  • Prior experience with interventional radiology procedures, imaging equipment, and sterile technique
  • Strong knowledge of vascular and non-vascular IR procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and patient care skills
  • BLS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)

Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time, contract assignment
  • Schedule subject to facility needs; flexibility may be required

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring optimal imaging and patient comfort
  • Operate and maintain advanced IR imaging equipment in accordance with safety standards
  • Assist physicians during IR procedures, including vascular access, angiography, biopsies, and drainage
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, communicating effectively with the clinical team
  • Ensure accurate documentation of procedures and maintain organized imaging records
  • Implement infection control procedures and adhere to all radiology department protocols
  • Provide compassionate support to patients and families throughout their care experience
