Interventional Radiologic Technologist (IR) - Charlotte, North Carolina

Step into an essential clinical role supporting advanced interventional radiology procedures as an experienced IR Tech. This contract opportunity is ideal for candidates who thrive in high-acuity imaging environments and value collaboration with dedicated care teams.

Schedule:

• 12-hour day shifts
• Friday, Saturday, Sunday; 7:00am – 7:00pm
• Weekend position
• Holiday coverage expected

Key Qualifications:

• Demonstrated expertise as an IR Tech; experience in specialized imaging strongly preferred
• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography
• BLS certification
• Ability to participate in on-call and call-back rotations as scheduled
• Flexibility to float to other units as needed
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Proven reliability in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform interventional radiology procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols
• Prepare and position patients, ensuring safety and comfort at every step
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment, maintaining high standards of image quality
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and infection prevention protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Respond to on-call requests and provide coverage during holidays as required
• Accurately document all procedures and maintain records in accordance with healthcare regulations
• Flex into other imaging modalities or departments if patient care demands
