Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
  • Registered and licensed IR Tech with relevant state credentials
  • Minimum of one year recent experience in Interventional Radiology procedures
  • Proficiency in sterile technique and vascular access skills
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot IR imaging equipment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with physicians and clinical staff
  • Demonstrated knowledge of patient safety practices and radiation protection standards
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic IR procedures under the guidance of radiologists and physicians
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring comfort and accurate image capture
  • Monitor patient condition during procedures and respond promptly to clinical changes
  • Maintain high standards for infection control, sterile fields, and equipment cleanliness
  • Collaborate with medical and nursing teams for seamless patient care delivery
  • Accurately document procedures, patient information, and imaging results in electronic medical records
  • Participate in quality assurance and continuing education activities
