Qualifications:
- Current certification as an IR Tech or Radiologic Technologist with IR specialty
- ARRT (R) certification required; Vascular-Interventional (VI) preferred
- Registered or eligible for registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Valid BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum of 1 year of recent IR Tech experience in a hospital or acute care setting
- In-depth understanding of imaging safety protocols and sterile techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptability to new environments and proficiency with advanced imaging equipment
Responsibilities:
- Assist interventional radiologists with a wide range of minimally invasive procedures
- Operate and maintain complex imaging equipment used during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
- Adhere to all infection control, safety, and privacy protocols
- Prepare procedure rooms, instruments, and supplies for daily operations
- Accurately document patient information and imaging results within electronic health records
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to coordinate optimal patient care
- Provide patient education and support throughout the imaging process
