Qualifications:

  • Current certification as an IR Tech or Radiologic Technologist with IR specialty
  • ARRT (R) certification required; Vascular-Interventional (VI) preferred
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Valid BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent IR Tech experience in a hospital or acute care setting
  • In-depth understanding of imaging safety protocols and sterile techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptability to new environments and proficiency with advanced imaging equipment

Responsibilities:

  • Assist interventional radiologists with a wide range of minimally invasive procedures
  • Operate and maintain complex imaging equipment used during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
  • Adhere to all infection control, safety, and privacy protocols
  • Prepare procedure rooms, instruments, and supplies for daily operations
  • Accurately document patient information and imaging results within electronic health records
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to coordinate optimal patient care
  • Provide patient education and support throughout the imaging process
