Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with a focus on Interventional Radiology.
- Valid, state-appropriate licensure, or eligibility to obtain one.
- Proven experience in IR procedures, including vascular and non-vascular interventions, assisting physicians during minimally invasive image-guided treatments.
- Strong understanding of imaging protocols, radiation safety, and sterile technique.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients for IR procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout.
- Operate advanced imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) during interventional procedures.
- Assist radiologists and physicians in a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
- Monitor patient vitals and procedural progress; provide thorough patient care pre- and post-procedure.
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques, documentation, and quality assurance standards.
- Troubleshoot technical equipment issues and report any malfunctions promptly.
