Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current certification and registration as an IR Tech (ARRT preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience in imaging, especially IR procedures
  • Knowledge of vascular and non-vascular interventional radiology techniques
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety, sterile techniques, and infection control standards
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment confidently
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with healthcare providers

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare equipment and rooms for interventional radiology procedures
  • Assist radiologists and medical staff with diagnostic and therapeutic IR procedures
  • Monitor patient status during procedures, providing reassurance and support
  • Follow all protocols to ensure patient and staff safety, including radiation protection guidelines
  • Document patient records and imaging data accurately in compliance with regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in procedural and imaging areas
  • Participate actively in continuous education and quality improvement initiatives
