Qualifications & Experience:

• Current certification as an Imaging – IR Tech
• Experience in the setup and operation of imaging equipment, pressure injectors, and sterile field maintenance
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Ability to independently determine accurate imaging techniques and patient positioning
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Track record of effective teamwork and adaptability

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for invasive imaging procedures and explain examination protocols
• Obtain relevant medical history and maintain thorough documentation
• Assist Radiologists in carrying out complex diagnostic procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging results
• Maintain and restock necessary supplies and manage imaging equipment
• Ensure patient and team safety by adhering to radiation protection principles
• Resolve image exceptions and manage study completion in PACS and RIS systems
• Support continuous quality assurance and participate in the onboarding of new staff or students
