Step into a vital clinical role as an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist. As part of a collaborative imaging team, you’ll deliver specialized diagnostic and treatment procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist, providing high-quality patient care and imaging expertise.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Regular hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm
  • Required on-call rotation: one weekend every six weeks
  • Monday-Friday evening call every six weeks (based on volume and schedule needs)

Qualifications:

  • Active BLS certification is required
  • ARRT certification is required; Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI) preferred
  • Strong background in IR imaging techniques and protocols
  • Skill in setting up, operating, and maintaining IR and imaging equipment
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and ALARA principles
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities:

  • Educate patients on procedure details and obtain relevant medical history
  • Prepare and administer prescribed contrast media, medications, and IV solutions
  • Assist the Radiologist with complex, invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Set up sterile fields, equipment, physiological monitors, and pressure injectors
  • Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures
  • Ensure proper supply availability and maintain equipment readiness
  • Perform all imaging procedures with diligent attention to radiation safety and documentation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve PACS/RIS imaging and study indexing issues
  • Participate in staff and student training as needed
  • Complete thorough documentation in medical records and information systems
