Step into a pivotal role assisting radiologists in the performance of invasive imaging procedures designed to evaluate and diagnose complex medical conditions. If you are an experienced Imaging professional with a strong background in Interventional Radiology (IR), this contract opportunity offers a dynamic environment focused on providing the highest standard of patient care.

Schedule:

  • 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
  • On-call rotation: One weekend every six weeks
  • Monday–Friday evening call every six weeks (subject to department volume and scheduling needs)

Required Qualifications:

  • Active BLS certification
  • Current ARRT certification (Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI) preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience as an IR Tech in a clinical setting
  • Proficiency with PACS and RIS systems
  • Ability to independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot imaging equipment
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and explain diagnostic procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding
  • Gather and review patient medical histories as needed
  • Safely prepare and administer contrast media, medications, and IV solutions
  • Support Radiologists in conducting complex invasive imaging procedures by setting up sterile equipment and monitoring patient condition throughout
  • Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and ensure all equipment is appropriately prepared and sterilized
  • Employ ALARA techniques and radiation safety protocols during all procedures
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation in medical records and imaging systems to support clinical and administrative needs
  • Provide mentorship to new team members or students as assigned
  • Continuously uphold team and facility standards of excellence and patient safety
