Bring your expertise as an Interventional Radiology Technologist to a dynamic, high-performing radiology-special procedures department in a contract capacity. In this essential clinical allied travel position, you will work closely alongside proceduralists and a multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding patient care during complex diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 36 hours per week with 12-hour shifts, either three 12-hour or four 10-hour shifts
  • On-call rotation every fourth weekend and one day per week

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist with active NJ radiographic licensure
  • High school diploma/GED and Associate degree or graduation from an accredited radiographic program
  • Current certification in Radiography (R) through ARRT
  • Approved BLS certification, with skill demonstration, from the American Heart Association or equivalent
  • Deep familiarity with operating floor and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic imaging equipment
  • Ability to assist in scrub roles for vascular and neuro-interventional cases, maintaining sterile technique and infection prevention
  • Competence in power injection of iodinated contrast media during procedures
  • Strong closed-loop communication skills and adaptability to fast-paced settings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide side-by-side procedural assistance to physicians in complex vascular and neuro-interventional procedures
  • Select, retrieve, and handle advanced interventional products and equipment
  • Circulate and document procedures accurately in electronic medical records, uploading images to PACS (Sectra)
  • Assist with groin management post-intervention and setup of procedural trays
  • Collaborate effectively with nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons, contributing positively to departmental goals
