Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist with specialized training and competency in Interventional Radiology
• Valid registry with ARRT in radiography; advanced certifications in IR highly preferred
• Previous experience working as an IR Tech in a hospital or acute care setting
• Proficient in utilizing digital imaging equipment, fluoroscopy, and supporting technologies specific to IR procedures
• Strong understanding of sterile technique, patient preparation, and post-procedure protocols
• Ability to collaborate professionally with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and attention to detail

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians with a range of interventional radiology procedures, ensuring optimal imaging and patient safety
• Operate and maintain specialized IR equipment, including C-arms, angiography suites, and digital imaging platforms
• Prepare patients for procedures, including obtaining medical histories, explaining processes, and ensuring comfort
• Monitor patients during and after procedures, responding quickly to any emergent needs
• Accurately document procedures, maintain patient records, and adhere to all hospital safety and compliance standards
• Participate in quality assurance, infection control, and continuing education initiatives as required
