Interventional Radiologic Technologist in Gastonia, NC

Step into a vital role supporting patient care as an experienced IR Tech. This contract opportunity is designed for skilled imaging professionals who thrive in a dynamic hospital setting and are dedicated to excellence in interventional radiology.

Schedule:

• 12-hour day shifts: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (7am–7pm)
• Weekend-focused position
• Holiday coverage required
• On-call and call-back participation expected
• Floating to additional units as needed

Qualifications:

• Current ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology (RT) with Interventional Radiology credential or eligibility
• Active and unrestricted state license or the ability to obtain before start
• Previous experience as an IR Tech in a hospital environment preferred
• Strong understanding of interventional procedures, safety protocols, and imaging equipment
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the care team
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or ability to obtain prior to start

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality interventional radiology imaging exams and procedures under physician guidance
• Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
• Operate and maintain imaging and interventional equipment effectively
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other departments to deliver optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in rotating on-call, call-back, and holiday schedules
• Float to other imaging units as required by patient volumes or department needs
• Uphold strict infection control and safety standards at all times
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate electronic documentation
