Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Certification or credentialing as an IR Tech (ARRT or equivalent required)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in interventional radiologic procedures and techniques
  • Recent experience in an imaging department or hospital setting
  • Knowledge of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment operation and maintenance
  • Commitment to patient safety, radiation safety standards, and sterile technique
  • Ability to communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification, ACLS preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and operate imaging equipment for interventional radiology procedures
  • Collaborate with physicians and nurses to ensure accurate, timely support during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Position patients effectively to optimize imaging quality while ensuring comfort and safety
  • Monitor and document patient condition throughout procedures
  • Maintain and stock imaging supplies; handle equipment troubleshooting as needed
  • Adhere to protocols for imaging quality, infection control, and patient confidentiality
  • Assist with patient education regarding procedures and post-procedural care instructions
