Deliver advanced patient care by supporting complex, minimally invasive, image-guided procedures as an Interventional Radiology Technologist. In this contract role, you will collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers, operating cutting-edge imaging equipment and ensuring patient safety throughout routine and urgent procedures.

- 13-week assignment
- Facility may downstaff travelers between 36 and 48 hours weekly, depending on operational needs
Qualifications
- R.T.(R) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
OR one of the following advanced credentials: R.T.(VI), R.T.(CV), R.T.(CI), or RCIS - Preferred: 1-2 years of interventional radiology or related imaging experience
- In-depth understanding of infection control and radiation safety standards
- Strong ability to communicate with patients and team members
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with minimally invasive interventional radiology procedures in both routine and emergency settings
- Prepare patients: review history, medications, allergies, and ensure appropriate NPO status
- Effectively explain procedures and provide pre- and post-care, including discharge education
- Maintain a sterile field, monitor patient vitals, and support adverse reaction management
- Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot specialized imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
- Administer contrast under radiologist supervision; manage supplies, medications, and resource readiness
- Ensure accurate documentation within EMR and PACS systems, managing imaging data workflow
- Adhere strictly to radiation protection standards and clinical safety protocols
- Respond promptly and competently to emergency situations as required
