Step into an essential role supporting patient care within a dynamic imaging department as an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist. This contract opportunity is ideal for detail-oriented professionals passionate about delivering high-quality diagnostic and interventional imaging services.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required, with IR certification preferred
  • Valid state licensure as required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology, with strong procedural knowledge
  • Proficiency operating imaging and fluoroscopy equipment
  • Excellent sterile technique and understanding of radiation safety principles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • BLS certification (and ACLS as required)
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity environments

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Prepare imaging equipment and assist physicians during a wide range of interventional radiology procedures
  • Monitor and document patient vitals, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times
  • Maintain high standards of infection control, equipment cleanliness, and supply inventory
  • Accurately capture and process diagnostic images for physician interpretation
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure optimal workflow
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, addressing any questions or concerns compassionately
  • Adhere to facility and regulatory protocols, ensuring compliance with privacy and safety standards
