Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required, with IR certification preferred
- Valid state licensure as required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology, with strong procedural knowledge
- Proficiency operating imaging and fluoroscopy equipment
- Excellent sterile technique and understanding of radiation safety principles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- BLS certification (and ACLS as required)
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare imaging equipment and assist physicians during a wide range of interventional radiology procedures
- Monitor and document patient vitals, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times
- Maintain high standards of infection control, equipment cleanliness, and supply inventory
- Accurately capture and process diagnostic images for physician interpretation
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure optimal workflow
- Educate patients regarding procedures, addressing any questions or concerns compassionately
- Adhere to facility and regulatory protocols, ensuring compliance with privacy and safety standards
