This position requires expertise in Interventional Radiology (IR) imaging within an angiography and special procedures setting. Located in Henrico, VA, this contract role provides hands-on experience with advanced neuro IR cases in a busy hospital environment.

Location Overview
Situated in Henrico, VA, this hospital campus is known for its leading-edge medical technology and supportive staff community. The unit features a small, highly skilled team working with cutting-edge Phillips and GE biplane imaging equipment, supported by Meditech EMR systems. The setting allows for professional growth in a patient-centered environment focused on neuro IR procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform neuro interventional radiology imaging procedures accurately and efficiently
  • Collaborate with a team of 9 staff members, including 5 RNs and 4 technologists, primarily on day shifts
  • Operate and maintain advanced Phillips and GE biplane imaging equipment
  • Document patient care and imaging results using Meditech EMR
  • Participate in on-call rotations including after-hours and weekend coverage
  • Adhere to strict safety and infection control guidelines

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of hospital experience required
  • Proven experience as an IR Technologist with a focus on neuro interventional radiology
  • Familiarity with angiography and special procedure units
  • Comfortable working with complex neuro imaging cases
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Navy scrubs are the required dress code

  • Unit beds: 4
  • Shift schedule: Primarily day shifts with weekend and on-call responsibilities
  • Contract role with potential opportunities for extension
