Professionally, this assignment will place you in a dynamic Interventional Radiology environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and encountering a broad spectrum of cases. Exposure to different workflows, EMR systems like CERNER/RADNET, and innovative equipment including GE Innova, MedRad Injector, and Angiojet, will elevate your skills and adaptability. You’ll engage with a diverse patient population—including those requiring complex interventions—making this an exceptional addition to your resume.
Schedule/Hours:
- Day shifts: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
- Rotational on-call coverage after hours, including weekends (Fri 4 pm – Mon 7:30 am)
- Holiday on-call rotation
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as an IR Tech
- ARRT (RT)(R) certified, (VI) preferred
- Active BLS certification
- Comfortable working both independently and in a team
- Confident operating advanced imaging equipment
- Ability to adapt to a variety of case types; no pediatric cases, some interaction with inmate population
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assist with interventional radiology procedures (avg. 2–4 cases/day)
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced imaging systems
- Coordinate with IR RNs, Radiology Assistants, and transport staff
- Provide safe, empathetic care to a diverse adult patient population
- Participate in on-call rotations and floor orientation
