Seeking a skilled professional to provide crucial support in minimally invasive, image-guided procedures as an Interventional Procedural Technologist. In this contract role, you’ll operate within both radiology and operating room environments, ensuring precise, high-quality imaging and procedural assistance for neuro, cardiac, and vascular surgeries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage all imaging equipment necessary for interventional radiology procedures.
- Function as an integral member of the sterile scrub team, maintaining patient safety and aseptic technique.
- Circulate cases in both radiology and operating room settings, assisting with workflow and supply management.
- Perform a wide range of diagnostic and interventional procedures, including angiography, embolization, venous access, venography, myelography, abdominal interventions, paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsy, TIPS, and dialysis access/fistula work.
- Support advanced therapies such as Y90/SIRT, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and support staff to facilitate seamless procedural flow.
- Provide patient care before, during, and after procedures, closely adhering to protocols and safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification and experience as an IR Technologist.
- Proven background in neuro, cardiac, or vascular surgical settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures.
- Familiarity with a broad span of interventions including advanced embolizations, biopsies, and access procedures.
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, radiologic safety, and interventional equipment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and adaptability to dynamic clinical environments.
