Advance your career as an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist by contributing your expertise in a dynamic clinical environment. This contract opportunity spans 13 weeks and focuses on delivering high-quality patient care alongside a collaborative radiology team.
Schedule:
- Primarily four 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday (may occasionally require five 8-hour shifts, depending on staffing needs)
- Working hours begin at 07:00 AM, totaling 36-40 hours per week
- On-call requirements: 7 days within a 5-week period, including one Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Weekend responsibilities only when assigned to on-call coverage
- Must be available for holiday coverage if a holiday occurs during the contract period
Qualifications:
- Current ARRT licensure required
- Active BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an IR Technologist, including proficiency in peripheral and neuro procedures
- Strong knowledge of IR imaging protocols, sterile technique, and equipment troubleshooting
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
- Skillfully perform IR procedures under the direction of a physician, ensuring patient safety and image quality
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields and instruments for each procedure
- Accurately document patient data and relevant procedural details in the electronic health record
- Provide clear pre- and post-procedure instruction, support, and monitoring to patients
- Respond effectively to emergencies, demonstrating strong critical thinking skills when needed during procedures or on-call shifts
- Adapt positively to changing schedules, including on-call and occasional holiday shifts
