Advance your healthcare career by supporting a multidisciplinary radiology team as an Interventional Radiology Technologist. This contract opportunity involves active participation in advanced diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional procedures, contributing to patient care excellence in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Schedule:
- 36 hours per week, part-time
- 3 shifts per week (12 hours each) or 4 shifts (10 hours each)
- On-call rotation: every 4th weekend and 1 day per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Scrub in and assist proceduralists during complex vascular and neuro-interventional cases.
- Operate both floor and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic equipment.
- Identify, retrieve, and circulate complex products needed during procedures.
- Prepare procedural trays, maintaining strict sterile technique and infection control standards.
- Manage post-intervention groin care.
- Use power injection devices for contrast media administration.
- Effectively utilize electronic medical records and transmit images to Sectra/PACS systems.
- Communicate clearly within a diverse clinical team, using closed-loop protocols.
- Uphold high standards of care when multitasking and managing multiple cases.
Qualifications:
- At least 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist, with NJ radiographic licensure.
- High school diploma/GED and associate degree, or completion of an accredited radiographic program.
- Current NJ Radiography license and certification (ARRT).
- Valid BLS certification from AHS-approved American Heart Association program or equivalent.
