Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Specific experience in Interventional Radiology strongly preferred
- Valid state license in Radiologic Technology
- Current BLS certification
- Excellent knowledge of IR equipment and safety protocols
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and operate interventional radiology equipment for a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Assist physicians with vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures under sterile technique
- Position patients appropriately and ensure their safety and comfort throughout all procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
- Adhere to established protocols to minimize radiation exposure and ensure regulatory compliance
- Troubleshoot equipment and promptly address any malfunction or safety concern
- Provide clear patient instructions and pre/post-procedure support
