Interventional Radiologic Technologist - New Haven, CT

Essential Qualifications:

• Current certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT) with a specialization in Interventional Radiology
• Valid state licensure for radiologic technologists, as required
• Proven experience performing vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures
• Familiarity with imaging equipment, safety protocols, and sterile technique
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to accurately follow physicians’ orders and adapt quickly to changing priorities
• BLS or ACLS certification preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate interventional radiology equipment to assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Administer contrast agents and ensure proper patient positioning
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and comfort level throughout procedures
• Maintain sterile fields and adherence to infection control standards
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team
• Document procedures, maintain detailed records, and manage imaging data
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and ensure high-quality imaging results
