Key Qualifications:
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with current licensure
- Advanced certification in Interventional Radiology preferred
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience as an IR Tech in a hospital or clinical setting
- Proficient in operating fluoroscopy, angiography, and other diagnostic imaging equipment
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, vascular anatomy, and procedure protocols
- Excellent communication skills and patient-focused attitude
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout
- Operate a full range of imaging equipment including C-arms and digital angiography systems under physician guidance
- Adhere to radiation safety and infection control standards at all times
- Assist physicians with various vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures
- Maintain accurate and complete procedural documentation
- Monitor patients’ conditions, reporting any changes or concerns promptly to medical staff
- Collaborate with registered nurses, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care
