Key Qualifications:

  • Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with current licensure
  • Advanced certification in Interventional Radiology preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience as an IR Tech in a hospital or clinical setting
  • Proficient in operating fluoroscopy, angiography, and other diagnostic imaging equipment
  • Strong knowledge of sterile technique, vascular anatomy, and procedure protocols
  • Excellent communication skills and patient-focused attitude
  • BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout
  • Operate a full range of imaging equipment including C-arms and digital angiography systems under physician guidance
  • Adhere to radiation safety and infection control standards at all times
  • Assist physicians with various vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures
  • Maintain accurate and complete procedural documentation
  • Monitor patients’ conditions, reporting any changes or concerns promptly to medical staff
  • Collaborate with registered nurses, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care
