Desired Qualifications:
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology (R.T. [R]) and advanced registry in Vascular Interventional (VI) or Cardiovascular Interventional (CI), or eligibility to obtain.
- Valid state license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Prior experience in Interventional Radiology or similar advanced imaging settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, radiation safety, and proper use of IR equipment.
- Excellent critical thinking and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment and respond quickly during emergencies.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients for a range of Interventional Radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Operate IR imaging equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, adhering strictly to physician instructions and safety regulations.
- Ensure accurate imaging and documentation while maintaining meticulous records during all procedures.
- Assist with patient monitoring, sterile field setup, and instrument handling throughout each case.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team to deliver seamless, effective care.
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to guarantee optimal function and availability.
