Join a reputable healthcare environment as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, specializing in advanced imaging and patient care. This 13-week contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to perform diagnostic and invasive procedures within a dynamic radiology setting. The role supports a multidisciplinary team during complex procedures while ensuring high standards in equipment operation, patient safety, and contrast administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures utilizing specialized imaging equipment.
- Assist clinical staff during procedures, including scrub support and patient monitoring.
- Administer contrast agents carefully, reviewing medication reconciliation for safety.
- Operate essential patient care equipment such as oxygen, suction, and blood pressure monitors.
- Monitor patients’ condition closely before, during, and after procedures, utilizing proper immobilization and transfer techniques.
- Adhere strictly to prescribed radiation safety protocols to produce optimal examination quality.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the department’s operational needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Advanced registry certification (CI, VI, or RCIS) OR ARRT (R) certification required.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in interventional radiology or a related imaging specialty.
- Knowledge of radiation safety practices and proficiency in specialized imaging technology.
- Ability to function effectively within a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Professional appearance adhering to dress code requirements (black scrubs, no torn clothing or open-toed shoes).
