Qualifications:

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum two years of Interventional Radiology technologist experience
• Current New York State Radiologic Technologist License, or eligibility to obtain prior to start
• ARRT certification required, with VIR certification preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Consistently produce diagnostic-quality radiologic images, selecting appropriate exposure factors and patient positioning
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures and assist the Radiologist during interventions
• Operate all assigned imaging equipment competently, reporting any malfunctions promptly
• Complete assigned procedures efficiently, supporting department workflow and assisting with room turnover
• Maintain security protocols for medication and observe patient rights
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication with patients and colleagues across all age groups
• Accurately document and manage information utilizing HIS, RIS, and PACS systems, maintaining patient confidentiality
• Participate in department and hospital quality improvement initiatives and provide technical support to other departments
