Qualifications and Skills:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- Valid state licensure as required
- Proven experience in interventional radiology imaging
- Proficiency with fluoroscopic procedures, vascular/interventional equipment, and sterile technique
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and patients
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures under physician direction
- Prepare and position patients appropriately, reviewing patient histories and confirming procedure requirements
- Maintain and operate imaging and ancillary equipment with accuracy and safety
- Adhere to protocols regarding patient safety, including radiation protection and sterile field technique
- Document procedures, maintain accurate patient records, and update logs as required
- Assist in emergency situations and respond swiftly to urgent patient needs
- Ensure exam rooms and equipment are properly cleaned, stocked, and maintained
