Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Active IR Tech license or eligibility to practice in Illinois
  • Previous experience in interventional radiology procedures preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of imaging equipment, safety protocols, and sterile technique
  • Strong communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly in rapidly changing clinical settings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures in accordance with physician orders and department protocols
  • Prepare patients and assist physicians during image-guided procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout
  • Operate and maintain fluoroscopic and other specialized imaging equipment
  • Practice rigorous infection control and adhere to radiation safety standards
  • Accurately document procedures and maintain complete, up-to-date records
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and assist with departmental improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to optimize patient outcomes
