Qualifications and Skills:

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
  • Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
  • Valid state licensure as required
  • Proven experience in interventional radiology imaging
  • Proficiency with fluoroscopic procedures, vascular/interventional equipment, and sterile technique
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and patients
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures under physician direction
  • Prepare and position patients appropriately, reviewing patient histories and confirming procedure requirements
  • Maintain and operate imaging and ancillary equipment with accuracy and safety
  • Adhere to protocols regarding patient safety, including radiation protection and sterile field technique
  • Document procedures, maintain accurate patient records, and update logs as required
  • Assist in emergency situations and respond swiftly to urgent patient needs
  • Ensure exam rooms and equipment are properly cleaned, stocked, and maintained
