Specialized Interventional Radiology Technologist opportunity in Richmond, VA focusing on neuro imaging procedures within an angiography and special procedures unit. Location Overview:
Situated in Richmond, VA, the healthcare facility serves an active community with a dedicated unit featuring 4 beds and a team of 9 staff members. The unit operates primarily during the day with 5 registered nurses and 4 technologists, emphasizing a collaborative environment within an established hospital system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform neuro interventional radiology imaging procedures with precision and attention to detail
  • Utilize Phillips and GE biplane imaging equipment effectively for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including RNs and other technologists to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and assist with procedural planning using Meditech EMR systems
  • Participate in after-hours calls and weekend coverage as required to support patient needs

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years hospital experience in interventional radiology
  • Proven expertise as an IR Technologist, specifically with neuro IR procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced angiography/special procedures unit
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Work Schedule:

  • Day shift hours
  • On-call availability including weekends and after-hours
