IR Technologist in Richmond, VA

Exciting opportunities await skilled Imaging professionals with Interventional Radiology (IR) expertise. This contract role offers a dynamic environment within a fast-paced Angiography/Special Procedures unit, well-suited for candidates seeking to advance their careers in Neuro IR.

Schedule/Hours:

• Call required after hours and on weekends

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of hospital-based experience in Interventional Radiology
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Solid background in Neuro IR procedures
• Proficient working with Phillips and GE biplane equipment
• Experience utilizing Meditech electronic medical records
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform and assist with a range of Neuro Interventional Radiology procedures, supporting a unit with significant neuro case volume
• Operate advanced imaging systems efficiently, ensuring high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic outcomes
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and technologists to optimize patient safety and satisfaction
• Provide excellent patient care throughout all stages of the procedure
• Participate in a rotation for after-hours and weekend call coverage as required

Environment and Unit Details:

• 4-bed Angiography/Special Procedures unit
• Team consists of 5 day-shift RNs and 4 technologists
• Navy scrubs are standard attire
