Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel assignment (specific schedule varies by assignment)

Required Qualifications:

  • BLS from American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • Minimum of 2 years' interventional radiology or IR tech experience
  • NYS License, or eligibility to obtain prior to starting
  • ARRT registration
  • VIR Certification preferred

Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology examinations; assist radiologist during procedures
  • Competently operate all IR imaging equipment; promptly report malfunctions
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images; effectively select exposure factors and positioning
  • Participate in room turnover and assist with departmental workflow as needed
  • Maintain medication security and uphold strict confidentiality mandates
  • Utilize RIS, HIS, and PACS systems proficiently
  • Answer technical questions from physicians and hospital staff, demonstrating strong communication skills
  • Engage in performance improvement initiatives as requested
