Interventional Radiologic Technologist - Timmonsville, SC

An opportunity is available for an experienced Imaging Professional skilled in Interventional Radiology (IR Tech) to support patient care in a contract role. This position involves utilizing advanced imaging technology to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications and Required Experience:

• Current certification or registry in Interventional Radiology Technology (ARRT or equivalent)
• Previous experience working as an IR Tech, with a strong foundation in imaging procedures
• Knowledge of sterile technique and radiation safety protocols
• Proficiency with imaging equipment, including digital and fluoroscopic systems
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, operate, and maintain interventional radiology equipment for imaging procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals before, during, and after interventional procedures
• Assist with patient preparation and provide clear explanations of procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation
• Monitor patients and equipment for safety and proper function throughout procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient records, and equipment logs
• Uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality
• Support patient recovery post-procedure and provide necessary instructions
