Interventional Radiologic Technologist (IR) | Watkinsville, Georgia

Key Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current registration as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
• Valid state license and BLS certification.
• At least one year of experience as an IR Tech or within an imaging department, specifically handling interventional procedures.
• Proficient in angiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
• Ability to respond to emergent situations with composure and professionalism.
• Strong collaborative skills to work closely with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Excellent communication and patient care abilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients and equipment for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring a sterile and safe environment.
• Operate and maintain all imaging equipment used in IR procedures.
• Assist physicians with a variety of minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures, providing support and reassurance.
• Accurately document procedure details and maintain complete patient records.
• Adhere to infection control guidelines and all regulatory and facility policies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IR technology, techniques, and safety protocols.
