As a skilled Mammo Tech, you will play a critical role in breast imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality diagnostic images within a collaborative environment.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program; certification as a Mammography Technologist
- Current ARRT (M) certification required
- Experience in performing digital mammography, including screening and diagnostic exams
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and quality control standards
- Ability to explain procedures empathetically to patients and address questions or concerns
- Proficiency with imaging equipment and PACS systems
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
Schedule:
- Contract position; flexible schedule options may be available based on departmental needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality mammography imaging procedures following physician orders and established protocols
- Position patients accurately and safely to obtain optimal images while ensuring their comfort and dignity
- Maintain and operate mammography equipment, performing required quality control checks
- Document patient information and procedure details accurately in electronic medical records
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and support staff to maintain seamless workflow and exceptional patient care
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant work environment by adhering to regulatory and accreditation requirements
