Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid ARRT Radiologic Technologist certification in Mammography required
- Substantial hands-on experience performing mammography exams and operating digital mammography equipment
- In-depth knowledge of current mammography protocols, safety, and QA/QC guidelines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients and multidisciplinary teams
- Proven ability to document thoroughly and manage sensitive patient information with strict confidentiality
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality digital mammography procedures in accordance with established protocols and physician instructions
- Prepare and position patients to ensure accurate imaging and patient comfort, addressing questions and concerns throughout the process
- Maintain equipment, perform regular quality checks, and follow all safety and infection control procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure optimum patient outcomes and workflow efficiency
- Accurately enter and manage patient records, imaging data, and required documentation
- Stay current with industry best practices and continuing education in mammographic imaging
