Key Qualifications:
- Valid ARRT certification in Mammography or equivalent credentials
- Active state licensure for radiologic technologists
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in mammography imaging
- Proficiency in operating digital mammography equipment
- Strong knowledge of imaging safety protocols and patient care best practices
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain accurate records
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality digital mammography exams following established guidelines and safety protocols
- Ensure patient comfort, explain procedures, and address concerns in a compassionate manner
- Maintain and calibrate mammography equipment to ensure optimal function and image quality
- Accurately document patient history, technical factors, and test outcomes in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff to meet imaging workflow and scheduling requirements
- Uphold confidentiality standards and promote patient safety at all times
- Participate in required quality assurance checks and continuing education as needed
