Key Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with advanced training in Mammography
- Current ARRT (M) certification in Mammography, with compliance to continuing education requirements
- State licensure in good standing, as required
- Proficient in operating mammography equipment and digital imaging systems
- Demonstrated understanding of radiologic safety protocols and infection control
- Strong communication skills for patient interactions and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Ability to work efficiently, plan imaging schedules, and adapt to workflow changes
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for mammography procedures, explaining processes and ensuring patient comfort
- Operate digital mammography units to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Maintain accurate patient records, document imaging results, and follow proper data management procedures
- Adhere to quality assurance protocols for imaging and equipment maintenance
- Work collaboratively with radiologists and healthcare colleagues in image evaluation and process improvement
- Uphold patient confidentiality, privacy, and safety requirements at all times
- Provide compassionate care, particularly when working with patients who may be anxious or have special needs
