Key Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with advanced training in Mammography
  • Current ARRT (M) certification in Mammography, with compliance to continuing education requirements
  • State licensure in good standing, as required
  • Proficient in operating mammography equipment and digital imaging systems
  • Demonstrated understanding of radiologic safety protocols and infection control
  • Strong communication skills for patient interactions and multidisciplinary collaboration
  • Ability to work efficiently, plan imaging schedules, and adapt to workflow changes

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for mammography procedures, explaining processes and ensuring patient comfort
  • Operate digital mammography units to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
  • Maintain accurate patient records, document imaging results, and follow proper data management procedures
  • Adhere to quality assurance protocols for imaging and equipment maintenance
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists and healthcare colleagues in image evaluation and process improvement
  • Uphold patient confidentiality, privacy, and safety requirements at all times
  • Provide compassionate care, particularly when working with patients who may be anxious or have special needs
