Key Qualifications:
- Current ARRT (M) certification required
- State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (if applicable)
- Proven experience operating mammography equipment and digital imaging systems
- Strong knowledge of positioning, imaging techniques, and safety protocols
- Ability to provide clear instructions and comfort to patients during exams
- Commitment to upholding HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Experience with PACS and electronic health records preferred
Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time contract assignment
- Shifts may include daytime and occasional weekends as needed
Responsibilities:
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms according to established protocols
- Ensure image quality and proper patient positioning for accurate diagnosis
- Verify patient history and imaging orders, addressing any discrepancies
- Safeguard patients by following all safety and infection control policies
- Maintain accurate exam records and assist radiologists as necessary
- Provide empathetic support and education to patients throughout the imaging process
- Monitor equipment functionality and arrange maintenance when required
- Stay current with advances in mammography and participate in ongoing training
