Mammography Technologist in Bronx, NY

Key Qualifications:

• Current ARRT (M) certification required
• State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (if applicable)
• Proven experience operating mammography equipment and digital imaging systems
• Strong knowledge of positioning, imaging techniques, and safety protocols
• Ability to provide clear instructions and comfort to patients during exams
• Commitment to upholding HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Experience with PACS and electronic health records preferred

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time contract assignment
• Shifts may include daytime and occasional weekends as needed

Responsibilities:

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms according to established protocols
• Ensure image quality and proper patient positioning for accurate diagnosis
• Verify patient history and imaging orders, addressing any discrepancies
• Safeguard patients by following all safety and infection control policies
• Maintain accurate exam records and assist radiologists as necessary
• Provide empathetic support and education to patients throughout the imaging process
• Monitor equipment functionality and arrange maintenance when required
• Stay current with advances in mammography and participate in ongoing training
