Mammography Technologist in Bronx, NY

Essential Qualifications:

• Current certification or registry in mammography technology (ARRT preferred)
• Demonstrated experience operating mammography equipment and performing screening and diagnostic studies
• In-depth knowledge of breast anatomy, positioning techniques, radiation safety, and patient care best practices
• Strong attention to detail with high standards for image quality and patient safety
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Effective communication skills for interacting with patients and medical staff
• Compliance with regulatory and facility requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality mammograms according to physician orders and established protocols
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures, thoroughly explaining each step and providing comfort
• Operate mammography systems, ensuring proper image capture and quality control
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, procedure details, and reporting as required
• Monitor and manage imaging inventory and safety supplies as needed
• Implement infection control procedures and maintain clean, organized work areas
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to assist in patient diagnosis and care planning
