As a skilled Mammography Technologist, you’ll play a vital role in supporting women's health through the delivery of high-quality imaging services. Your expertise will help physicians obtain the images they need for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning, ensuring compassionate patient care with every interaction.
Qualifications:
- Active ARRT (Mammography) or equivalent certification in Mammography Technology
- Current state licensure as required
- Minimum of one year of recent experience in a mammography role
- Proficient in operating mammography equipment and adhering to imaging protocols
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and infection control standards
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient service skills
- Ability to manage patient schedules, records, and confidentiality with accuracy
Responsibilities:
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams in accordance with physician orders and best practices
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining steps and ensuring comfort throughout
- Accurately position patients and equipment to capture quality diagnostic images
- Maintain proper documentation and electronic health records for each patient
- Monitor equipment functionality, assist with routine maintenance, and promptly report any malfunctions
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including radiation safety standards
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to facilitate efficient workflow and timely patient care
