Mammography Technologist | Burlington, Kansas

Embark on a fulfilling opportunity to advance your imaging career in a supportive environment specializing in mammography. This is a 13-week contract role for a skilled Mammo Tech with a focus on patient care and meticulous imaging operations.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8-hour day shifts
• No call, weekends, or holidays required

Qualifications:

• Current BLS certification
• ARRT(M) Mammography registration
• Valid Kansas license for radiologic technologists
• Demonstrated experience with mammography and breast imaging procedures
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR (Electronic Medical Records)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mammography procedures as prescribed by physicians, ensuring optimal patient safety and comfort
• Operate specialized mammography equipment and perform additional imaging such as spot compression and magnification when indicated
• Explain imaging procedures and answer patient questions with compassion and professionalism
• Provide timely communication to patients, maintaining records and distributing reports, recall, and reminder letters in compliance with MQSA/FDA/ACR standards
• Evaluate image quality, obtain additional images as needed, and accurately chart procedures in the hospital’s billing system
• Participate in all quality control and quality assurance activities for mammography
• Assist with critical documentation to support ACR and FDA accreditation processes
• Maintain proficiency in mammography and radiology through ongoing professional development and credential maintenance
• Support the imaging department as a Radiology Technologist when mammography work is not required
• Prepare for next-day procedures by organizing prior exams and reports for radiologist review

$2,178 - $2,304/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
