Mammography Technologist | Burlington, North Carolina

An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced mammography technologist seeking a dynamic contract role. This position requires a skilled professional dedicated to excellence in imaging and patient care, with proficiency in both screening and diagnostic mammography.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
• 40 hours per week

Qualifications:

• Active ARRT (M) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a mammographer
• Mastery in operating mammography equipment and critiquing digital images
• Proficient with PACS and EMR systems; EPIC experience strongly preferred
• Strong patient care, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within fast-paced environments and manage high patient volumes (17–25 screening exams per day)
• Comfortable working independently and able to prioritize workflow efficiently
• Willingness to provide coverage across multiple practice locations as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography exams in accordance with regulatory and professional guidelines
• Critique images thoroughly to ensure diagnostic accuracy and patient safety
• Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records utilizing PACS and EMR systems
• Deliver compassionate, informative care to all patients, ensuring a positive experience
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff as needed to achieve departmental goals
• Adapt quickly to evolving workflows and facility needs, demonstrating flexibility and professionalism
