Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct high-quality mammography imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, thoroughly explaining each process and ensuring comfort and privacy throughout.
  • Accurately capture and assess mammographic images, working closely with radiologists for optimal diagnostic outcomes.
  • Maintain precise records and input information into imaging systems for exam tracking and quality assurance.
  • Perform and document regular equipment checks; troubleshoot issues and communicate needs for maintenance as required.
  • Adhere to all privacy, infection control, and regulatory guidelines within a hospital setting.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, patient-centered imaging care.

Qualifications:

  • Certification and registration as a Mammography Technologist (ARRT (M) required).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in digital mammography techniques and image evaluation.
  • Minimum of one year’s recent experience in a hospital or outpatient mammography setting.
  • Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach.
  • Ability to work efficiently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Up-to-date BLS certification.
