Qualifications:
- Current certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and Mammography (M).
- State radiologic technologist license, if required.
- Minimum of one year experience in mammography imaging.
- Strong understanding of breast imaging positioning, imaging protocols, and quality assurance processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring patient comfort and clear instructions during procedures.
- Computer proficiency, especially with PACS and EMR systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality digital mammography exams using established protocols and safety standards.
- Accurately position patients and operate mammography equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times and obtain informed consent prior to procedures.
- Assist radiologists during procedures and provide clear explanations to patients regarding imaging processes.
- Ensure timely documentation of procedures and images in electronic records systems.
- Conduct routine equipment checks, perform quality control tests, and promptly report equipment malfunctions.
- Adhere to infection control and radiation safety procedures.
- Collaborate with peers and healthcare staff to maintain a supportive, efficient clinical environment.
