Mammography Technologist - Long Beach, California

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Saturday rotation required
• Day shift: 5x8-hour shifts (07:30 - 18:00), with varying start/end times based on departmental need

Qualifications:

• Current California Mammography Technologist license and CRT (M) – both required
• Active BLS certification (required)
• ARRT certification (highly preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mammography (required)
• Experience with both 2D and 3D mammography, screening and diagnostic studies, wire and radar localizations, and stereotactic biopsies
• Willingness to float to various departments across the main campus as needed
• Open to first-time travelers eager to expand their professional experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms using state-of-the-art technology
• Accurately conduct specialized procedures such as wire/radar localization and stereotactic biopsies
• Float throughout the main campus imaging departments as assigned
• Maintain high-quality standards in imaging, documentation, and patient interaction
• Provide compassionate care in a fast-paced environment with an average daily caseload of approximately 150 examinations
• Engage in continuous communication with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams
