Step into a pivotal role supporting diagnostic excellence within a busy mammography department. This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled Imaging Professional specializing in Mammography and ready to float between departments as needed to ensure seamless patient care.
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday through Friday with a Saturday rotation
- 5x8-Hour Day Shifts (Start anytime between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm; hours may vary based on department needs)
- No on-call required
Key Qualifications:
- Active California Mammography Technologist license and CRT (M) certification (required)
- ARRT certification (highly preferred)
- Current BLS certification (required)
- Minimum of two years of dedicated mammography experience
- Comfortable with departmental floating within a large campus setting
- Experience in screening and diagnostic Mammo (2D and 3D), wire and radar localizations, and stereotactic biopsies
- First-time travelers are encouraged to apply
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality mammography imaging for both screening and diagnostic purposes
- Perform advanced procedures including wire localizations, radar-guided biopsies, and stereotactic biopsies
- Accurately document procedures and maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support optimized workflow across the mammography department and main campus
- Respond flexibly to varying caseloads—approximate daily caseload: 150
