Exciting contract opportunity available for an experienced mammography technologist skilled in both screening and diagnostic mammography, including 2D and 3D imaging techniques. This position involves providing essential services across various imaging departments within a major hospital’s main campus.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday with Saturday rotation
  • Shifts between 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM (hours may vary per department need)
  • Five 8-hour shifts per week
  • No on-call required
  • Floating to different departments is required

Qualifications:

  • Current Mammography Technologist license in California and CRT (M) required
  • BLS certification required
  • ARRT certification highly preferred
  • At least two years of mammography experience required
  • First-time travelers welcome
  • Proficiency in screening, diagnostic mammo (2D, 3D), wire and radar localizations, and stereotactic biopsies

Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms, ensuring patient safety and comfort
  • Complete wire and radar localizations, as well as assist with stereotactic biopsies
  • Accurately document imaging procedures and maintain records in accordance with hospital protocols
  • Adapt to daily department needs, floating to different imaging units as assigned
  • Manage a busy daily workload (approx. 150 exams per shift) while maintaining attention to detail and patient care standards
