Mammography Technologist - Los Angeles, California

Advance your diagnostic imaging career by playing a vital role in mammography services. This contract opportunity requires skilled professionals to deliver comprehensive mammography care in a busy, dynamic healthcare setting.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday with Saturday rotation
• Shifts scheduled between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (hours may vary per department needs)
• Day shift: 5x8-hour shifts
• On-call not required
• Floating to various departments within the main campus as needed

Qualifications:

• Active California Mammography Technologist license and CRT (M) — required
• ARRT certification — highly preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent mammography experience
• Experience with both 2D and 3D screening and diagnostic mammograms
• Proficient in wire localizations, radar localizations, and stereotactic biopsies
• Open to first-time travelers

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams utilizing state-of-the-art technology
• Execute specialized procedures including wire and radar localizations, and stereotactic breast biopsies
• Rotate as needed through various imaging departments within the main campus
• Manage daily workflow in a department with an average caseload of 150
• Deliver patient-centered care, ensuring safety, accuracy, and high-quality imaging
• Collaborate with radiologists and technologists, maintaining open lines of communication and professional standards
