Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, with Saturday rotation as needed
- Day shift: Shift start and end times vary between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm (8-hour shifts)
- Flexibility to accommodate department needs
Qualifications:
- Active California Mammography Technologist license and CRT (M) required
- ARRT certification highly preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years’ mammography experience required
- Open to professionals who are first-time travelers
- Strong ability to adapt to different departments and provide excellent patient care
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography (2D and 3D) efficiently and accurately
- Conduct wire localizations, radar localizations, and stereotactic biopsies as ordered
- Float to various mammography departments within the main campus as operational requirements change
- Collaborate with technologists, radiologists, and nursing staff to coordinate patient care
- Manage an average daily caseload of approximately 150 studies
- Maintain documentation of completed procedures per policy and regulatory standards
- Demonstrate exceptional communication with patients to ensure comfort and understanding before, during, and after procedures
- Strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols at all times
