Step into a vital imaging role with a focus on mammography, supporting high-quality diagnostic and screening services in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract opportunity offers exposure to diverse patient cases and teamwork across main campus departments.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, with Saturday rotation as needed
  • Day shift: Shift start and end times vary between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm (8-hour shifts)
  • Flexibility to accommodate department needs

Qualifications:

  • Active California Mammography Technologist license and CRT (M) required
  • ARRT certification highly preferred
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years’ mammography experience required
  • Open to professionals who are first-time travelers
  • Strong ability to adapt to different departments and provide excellent patient care

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammography (2D and 3D) efficiently and accurately
  • Conduct wire localizations, radar localizations, and stereotactic biopsies as ordered
  • Float to various mammography departments within the main campus as operational requirements change
  • Collaborate with technologists, radiologists, and nursing staff to coordinate patient care
  • Manage an average daily caseload of approximately 150 studies
  • Maintain documentation of completed procedures per policy and regulatory standards
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication with patients to ensure comfort and understanding before, during, and after procedures
  • Strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols at all times
