Mammography Technologist - Melvern, Kansas

Step into a specialized role where your expertise in mammography will make a difference. This 13-week contract position welcomes a dedicated professional experienced in breast imaging to provide high-quality patient care and support in a collaborative clinical environment.

Schedule:

• Five 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
• Days only; no call, weekends, or holiday shifts required

Qualifications:

• Active BLS certification
• ARRT(M) registration for Mammography
• Current Kansas state license
• Proven clinical experience in mammography, including spot compression and magnification imaging
• Proficiency using Meditech EMR

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately perform prescribed mammography procedures using state-of-the-art imaging and radiographic equipment
• Demonstrate excellence in all breast imaging, adapting to unique patient needs with sensitivity and professionalism
• Explain procedures clearly to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding
• Evaluate image data quality, obtaining additional images when necessary to ensure diagnostic accuracy
• Ensure all communications required by regulatory agencies (MQSA/FDA/ACR) are sent and recorded promptly
• Chart procedures and manage billing through the hospital’s system
• Conduct preventive maintenance and perform quality control on equipment
• Maintain thorough documentation for ACR and FDA accreditation
• Compile and organize statistical data, including biopsy and surgical reports
• Organize upcoming mammography schedules, preparing prior exams and reports for radiologists
• Support the broader imaging department by performing general radiology duties as needed

$2,178 - $2,304/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
