Mammography Technologist | Melvern, Kansas

Deliver expert mammography services in a collaborative healthcare environment. This contract position focuses on performing diagnostic breast imaging procedures, ensuring exceptional patient care, and supporting the overall imaging department.

Schedule & Hours:

• 13-week engagement
• Five 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
• No call, weekend, or holiday shifts

Qualifications:

• Current Kansas Radiologic Technologist License
• Registered with ARRT (Mammography)
• Active BLS certification
• Experience operating mammography and radiographic equipment
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR preferred
• Ability to assist as a general Radiology Tech when needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mammography procedures as prescribed by physicians, including spot compression and magnification as required
• Deliver clear explanations and compassionate support, ensuring patient understanding throughout each procedure
• Evaluate image quality and obtain supplementary images as clinically indicated
• Accurately document and chart procedures, supplies, and billing
• Send and record all patient communications required by MQSA, FDA, and ACR, including reports and recall/reminder letters
• Carry out quality control procedures and participate in department-wide quality assurance
• Support ACR and FDA accreditation processes, maintaining all related documentation
• Organize and prepare prior exams and reports for next-day scheduling
• Participate fully in imaging department tasks, serving as a Radiology Tech during any downtime in mammography

$2,178 - $2,304/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
