Key Qualifications:

  • Current certification in Mammography Technology (ARRT (M) or equivalent)
  • Valid state radiologic technologist license
  • Minimum of one year recent experience in mammography imaging
  • Proficient with digital mammography and related imaging equipment
  • Strong understanding of patient safety protocols and radiation safety practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting

Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms as ordered by healthcare providers
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, thoroughly explaining steps and ensuring comfort and safety
  • Operate and maintain mammography imaging equipment according to established protocols
  • Accurately document patient information and imaging results in the medical record system
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal imaging results and patient outcomes
  • Monitor image quality, including proper positioning, exposure, and technical factors
  • Uphold strict adherence to infection control, patient privacy, and quality assurance standards
