Key Qualifications:
- Current certification in Mammography Technology (ARRT (M) or equivalent)
- Valid state radiologic technologist license
- Minimum of one year recent experience in mammography imaging
- Proficient with digital mammography and related imaging equipment
- Strong understanding of patient safety protocols and radiation safety practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms as ordered by healthcare providers
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, thoroughly explaining steps and ensuring comfort and safety
- Operate and maintain mammography imaging equipment according to established protocols
- Accurately document patient information and imaging results in the medical record system
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal imaging results and patient outcomes
- Monitor image quality, including proper positioning, exposure, and technical factors
- Uphold strict adherence to infection control, patient privacy, and quality assurance standards
